Otto Gerharz was the operations manager at Ruscha Keramik in 1951. He invented what we now call “Fat Lava Glaze.” He established his ceramic studio, “Otto Keramik,” in 1964.
Sadly, he passed away a few years ago. However, his son Otto Junior keeps his legacy alive. He still creates original designs inspired by his father. Still using the original molds & original glazes.
